About Krazy Klean

When did this product come out?
Krazy Klean was first introduced in 1988, but the origins of this product goes back over 50 years. It has been used in water treatment facilities around the world and by plumbers as an anti-scaling device.
How do I use Krazy Klean?
For Krazy Klean to work properly, please follow these steps:
- Clean toilet bowl by removing any pre-existing stains.
- Lift the lid of the tank.
- Remove Krazy Klean from the teal packaging.
- Drop Krazy Klean in the corner of the tank.
- Flush the toilet a few times to circulate the water.
What are the dimensions of the Krazy Klean?
The Krazy Klean Pro is 2.75" x 4".
How long does it take to begin working?
The moment you drop Krazy Klean in your tank, it begins preventing stains and scale. You need to remove any pre-existing stains or scale from the bowl in order to be able to see the impact Krazy Klean is making. In the case where the toilet tank is filled with stain and scale, Krazy Klean may need to break this down before it can begin preventing stains and scale in the toilet bowl.
How Does The Warranty Work?
We provide a 10-Year Happiness Guaranteed with the Krazy Klean Pro. If it does not work, we will refund you, but it works!
What about the Lifetime Warranty?
We expect the Lifetime Warranty to be available soon.

What if I have pre-existing stain/scale? Will Krazy Klean still work?
Krazy Klean will permanently prevent water from staining or scaling your toilet bowl - it will not remove old rust/stains. For best results, remove any pre-existing stains using a pumice stone before deploying Krazy Klean in your tank.
Need a pumice stone? Please email us requesting one along with your order number.
What if I still see rings appear?
There are several reasons why some toilets may continue to see rings accumulate after using Krazy Klean.
OLD RUST: There is a lot of of old rust in the tank that the Krazy Klean is clearing. Krazy Klean is working, and may need a few days or weeks to finish clearing the old rust. You may need to wipe the rings during this transition.
HIGH MINERAL CONTENT: A toilet has a high concentration of minerals in the water supply that may require a booster. We will provide one on us.
SEDENTARY TOILET: A toilet that has not been flushed for a long period of time may show discoloration around the water line. This is not a stain. Simply flush the toilet regularly to prevent this discoloration.
EXCESS SCALING: The municipal water or pipeline delivering water into the toilet has excess scaling accumulated somewhere in the system and you may require a booster. We will provide one on us.

I see a light pink ring forming that isn't a stain. What should I do?
The appearance of pink around the water's edge is a sign that Krazy Klean is working! Krazy Klean affects minerals, preventing them from being able to stain. When there is a large concentration of minerals or the toilet is not flushed very often, the excess minerals can congregate around the water's edge. Simply wipe the residue away with a tissue.
My Krazy Klean is moving around in the tank. How do I prevent this?
Most toilets do not present such a challenge, but some newer ones can. The Krazy Klean Pro is heavy, so it will remain stationary during the flush and will never fall into a drainpipe.
What are common types of stains/rings in the toilet?
There are a few types of stains/rings you may see in your toilet:
- Yellow or Brown Stains: these are usually hard water stains and come from buildup of hard water minerals. These can be found in the toilet bowl or the toilet tank.
- Red or Orange Stains: these are rust stains, caused by iron present in the water.
- Blue or Green Stains: these are stains from mold or mildew growth.
- Pink Slime Stains: typically, these are found at the water line in the toilet bowl and are caused by bacteria.
- Black Spores: these stains are a build-up of minerals, fungi, and mildew settling on the porcelain surface of the bowl.
- Scale: Limescale is a chalky substance created by water that comes in contact with calcium and magnesium.
What if my tank has scale?
Krazy Klean instantly begins preventing stains in the bowl. It will remove old scale and stains in the tank slowly over time. You can either clean out the existing scale in your tank with a pumice stone or let Krazy Klean clear out the scale over time. The time will depend on the amount of concentration of minerals in your water supply.

Is it safe for...?
Pets and families?
YES! See the article "Is Krazy Klean Toxic?" or "What is Krazy Klean made of?" for more details.
Septic tanks?
YES! Krazy Klean is 100% safe for septic systems! It is chemical-free and does not add or remove anything from the water. So, it will not disrupt the working bacteria in the septic tank.
Safe to use with other chemical pods like bleach and aqueous ozone sterilizers?
YES! Krazy Klean will still disable the minerals from staining or scaling.
Is Krazy Klean toxic?
Krazy Klean is guaranteed to be chemical-free and non-toxic. It is safe for pets and families because Krazy Klean is made up of only two elements: Hydro-Mineral Magnets and Bact-o-Bane casing. The magnets prevent minerals in water from grouping together into a stain. The Bact-o-Bane case houses the magnets and allows Krazy Klean to live in the water for years.
Is Krazy Klean compatible with...?
Bidets?
YES! Krazy Klean will work with bidets that are attached to the toilet tank. Krazy Klean is not recommended in a standalone bidet with no tank.
Low flow toilets?
YES! Krazy Klean will work in low flow toilets that allow you to drop the Krazy Klean into the bottom of the tank.
Travel trailer toilet or black tanks?
We don't recommend using Krazy Klean in a travel trailer toilet. Krazy Klean is only recommended for standard residential toilets in a home.
Houses or buildings with well water?
We would recommend you use Krazy Klean Pro for well water. That will disable the water from being able to stain or scale any further. If there is already stain built up, we recommend cleaning them with a pumice stone first and then adding the Krazy Klean.
Tankless toilets?
No. Krazy Klean must be submerged in a tank with water.
A humidifier tank?
We don't recommend using Krazy Klean in a humidifier.
A Niagara style dump bucket system?
We are preparing an attachment for the dump bucket system. We will post this attachment in the near future.
Clay sediment in water?
We do not have experience with clay sediment in water.
A swimming pool?
In a ground swimming pool, the technology will work to prevent minerals in water from staining and scaling. However, the Krazy Klean is designed to work in a toilet tank. Applying this technology to an in-ground swimming pool would require the use of many more magnets. Thank your choosing a chemical free toilet solution.
